Last Minute

It is scary to think that this, which I understand is exactly what its title implies, a game thrown together Speed-IF style right before the deadline ... is actually a better game by far than some of the other games submitted -- games that should have benefitted from more time and care but apparently never did.

Attitude is everything, and the game benefits greatly from its authorial voice. It's a little hyper, a little manic, and a lot good-natured. I suspect the authors loves his puns, which, as we all know, are the highest form of comedy.

The structure of the game seems simple enough. There are only a couple of real choices to be made, although a few others only lead one back to a nexus point from which one can explore other available choices. Then the game goes into the game within itself, built up from some of the choices made earlier. It's all very amusing.

There's not a lot to the game, but it was clean and free of bugs, the writing was lively, and it made me smile. That's worth something.

This is ... a banana smoothie protein shake! Sure, a few other fruits like strawberries and kiwi as well, but mainly bananas! Lots of bananas!
